Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has carried on her unsavory and dangerous practice of confusing issues by changing terms. If you know what the Swine Flu is, then you’ll be interested to know that Obama’s Administration is officially calling it the “H1N1 virus.” Catchy right?!! I’m sure everyone will adopt that term immediately… or fucking never! One of the two.

Napolitano is not alone in her desire to confuse the issue. The pork industry wants to name it anything else because they are concerned that people will stop eating ham or something. Jews and Muslims, who have big religious issues with pigs, have named it the “Mexican Flu”, which obviously upsets Mexican citizens. The bottom line is that, like it or not, the name “Swine Flu” is what everyone is going to call it, so fuck everyone who wants to change it!

Sometime over the past few days there was a meeting where high level United States officials actually spent time talking about what they were going to call the Swine Flu. That means simply that instead of dealing with the actual problem, they were trying to figure out how to put lipstick on the Swine. So, once again, either to obfuscate the issue, or to change the issue, our government sought to practice style over substance. Starting with Obama at the top, our leaders are trying to control you through precise manipulation of language.

Modern nomenclature calls the manipulation of language Political Correctness, but George Orwell called it Newspeak over a half century ago in his novel “1984,” and it should scare you to death! Napolitano changed the “War on Terror” to the “Overseas Contingency Operation”. Thanks to Napolitano, terrorism is now called “Man-Caused Disaster”. There is no difference between Political Correctness, and Newspeak which simplifies language to squelch thoughts of dissidence to The State. Or as one character in “1984” said, “It’s a beautiful thing, the destruction of words.”

Political Correctness is far more dangerous to our survival than the Swine Flu or Terrorism, because it is designed to steal your freedom and make your thoughts into crimes. To Enemy of Freedom, Janet Napolitano, and anyone else who wants to control me through speech, you can stick your “H1N1 virus”, your “Overseas Contingency Operations” and your “Man-Caused Disasters” up your Politically Correct muddy asshole!
