NASA regularly takes it in the Jimmy for screw-ups, but I’ve got two big kudos for the boys and girls who work there. The recent success of the Phoenix Lander, making a tricky jet assisted touch down on the Martian North Pole is both laudable and exciting. Was there life on Mars? Phoenix will help make the case.
However, the big pat on the back goes to NASA for the continued work of the Spirit and Opportunity Rovers that were sent to Mars over five years ago! Those rovers were supposed to last a couple of months, but those little suckers are still doing their job and giving us some incredible photos of an alien world.
Thanks NASA.
Houston, we DON’T have a problem!
