Apparently there is some controversy over the recent Burger King commercial that spoofs Sir Mix A Lot’s tour-de-force “Baby’s Got Back”, by giving the ladies a square butt, like Spongebob Squarepants. I just heard Gretchen Carlson, of FOX News, complain that the part of the ad that shows the Burger King measuring one of the model’s square ass, demeans women by making them worry about the size of their butts! (Again, I have to say, no… I’m not kidding!)
The Campaign For A Commercial-Free Childhood is questioning the ethics of Burger King targeting a sexualized commercial that has a popular children’s cartoon character, Spongebob Squarepants. (Once again… not kidding…)
Is this really a controversy? Really? Serial? Super Serial?
Now we are truly fiddling while Rome burns, Beefanatics! This is proof positive that we are doomed as a society. Twenty Trillion Dollars in promises, debt and interest? No problem. Phoenix, Arizona is the second biggest kidnapping city in the world? No problem. Pirates getting rich off the coast of Somalia? No problem! Chicks with square butts in a Burger King ad? Fuck yes that’s a problem! Call O’Reilly! Get the Christian Coalition on alert! Mobilize our lawyers! This debacle CAN NOT STAND!!!
Look, if you don’t like girls with square butts, then turn the channel. See how easy that is? Leave the rest of us alone to deal with serious issues. You’re obviously not ready to play with the big boys!
