I wanted to make sure and get this up on my site. It’s a speech that President Obama gave before the NAACP recently and it should be watched by every child and every parent. No matter what race you are, these words should resound with you. It should be played once a week in every classroom across the United States. Obama’s “No Excuses” speech is just as salient and just as relevant for the times as Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address” and Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Seriously.

That was great. One thing even his detractors can agree on — he’s a fantastic orator!
It really was great. I sincerely wish we got a lot more like this speech out of him, instead of just rolling over for whatever Nancy Pelosi sends his way (read Camille Paglia’s article here: http://tinyurl.com/ku9xke).
There are things that he says that I really like (some of his foreign policy has been brilliant), but then there are things he and his administration do that drives me bonkers (read just about any of my other articles).
Still, I’m going to congratulate him when I can and hope he eventually finds the center like Clinton did. I’m not holding my breath though.
